WOWS: Women of the Woodlands - October 2013
Women
of the
Woodlands
As I begin a second year as President of the Women of the Woodlands social club, I want to express a warm welcome to our new Vice President, Susan Ruscheinski and our new Treasurer, Reni Slepka (both pictured above). I would also like to welcome aboard the four new members that joined us during last month's ice cream social where we were treated to a visit from the Gulf Harbors Woodlands Association President, Debbie Leone who headed a lively discussion about the proposed changes to the Woodlands covenants.

During The meeting a tentative date of January 25th was set for

the community yard sale the WOW's plan to sponsor at the clubhouse. The group also discussed selecting a date for a visit to the Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo to view the Holiday Lights show during the month of December. Additional details for these two special events will appear in next months newsletter.

A refreshment committee has been formed to help Doris Cox, Cathe Rymshaw and Margaret Mardyniak serve the wine and cheese at the October meeting. Members are reminded to bring items to donate to our friends at the SPCA. All residents of Gulf Harbors are invited to help us in this worthy cause. Collection baskets and "wish lists" have been placed in the clubhouse kitchen so that you may drop off donations at your convenience.

We have changed the pool exercise days FROM Tuesdays and Thursdays TO Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 am. Bunco is still held on the second Wednesday of the month at 7pm. Don't miss out on the excitement. Our next Bunco game will be Wednesday, October 9.

We're all looking forward to a year filled with interesting activities....won't you join us????
