 Gulf Harbors To The Rescue!

CommunityThe following email came in to us and we thought we'd share it with all of you. It displays the spirit of the community and the hospitality of its people!

To whom it may concern,

On Friday the 25th of February 2011, my partner and I were out on the Gulf trying out a boat that I had just bought the day before when we ran into a problem with both engines. We were heading back toward Hudson (where we had launched) but the problem with our engines was so bad that we were left with no alternative than to try to get to dry land as it had become an emergency situation. Since there were no other boats around to call for help, we finally limped into Gulf Harbors on one engine that was just giving enough power to move us forward at about 1 or 2 miles an hour.

When we got into your community we asked some people sitting on their dock if there was a boat ramp. They told us where to go but advised us that it is kept locked so we got the boat near the ramp and a home owner gave us the telephone numbers of the key holders and another home owner, Dave of Harborview Court, allowed us to dock our boat at his property until we could get back with our trailer to pick the boat up.

When we did finally get back Frank Rose and Charles Henry were absolute gentlemen and helped us out of the water and on our way home.

We just wanted to thank the people who we came across at Gulf Harbors at our time of need!
