Life on<br>the GulfSomething GREAT is happening in Gulf Harbors. Have you noticed the two landscaped islands as you enter the Community. These islands were planted and landscaped for FREE by Annette Silva owner of Landscapes Unlimited. I went and saw Annette and asked if she was interested in donating some plants for the islands. She agreed to landscape one island but instead did two. Way to go Annette!! As you know Ken Krchmarik, the owner of Landscape Designs, landscaped the Monument at cost and continues with its maintenance for FREE.

Thanks Ken!! New sod was laid around the Monument by Rhyan Porter, owner of P& R, SOD Co. for FREE. Thanks P&R, SOD for the finishing touches. Tom Teufel with the Allstate office that sits directly behind the sign Monument has donated the water for the maintenance of the new plant landscaping, for FREE! Thanks Tom for being a good neighbor. Are we seeing a pattern here!!! Most of the above are Gulf Harbor residents. So please jump on board with the beatification project and make a difference in the community in which you live. A special thanks to Lexington Homes for a $2,000 donation for the Front Entrance project.

There are other ways of donating. Maybe you have a lawn company that can help with the upkeep of the islands. Or maybe some residents would like to get together and sponsor an island. One could give a Gift Card from Home Depot, Lowe's, Landscapes Unlimited, etc. and state how it should be spent. Are there electricians or plumbers that could offer some FREE work, and so on. Maybe I'm pipe dreaming however I was on a mission with the Front Entrance and I believe that we have made some great accomplishments. Remember this is your community. Give generously and reap the benefits.

As we come on to the cold months we will take a break from this project. I hope to have a permit to do the first island in the spring. We should think on the rest of this project at that point. Would you like to see the fourth island landscaped also? Do you feel that the Club House should have some landscaping, and would this be considered as part of the Front Entrance project? We raised the money and it is there, so please let us known how you would like these monies to be spent. Please remember we want to leave at least the $ 2,000 in a CD for the sign maintenance and up keep expenses.
